I want to express my respect to the University of Bristol for correcting a mistake done 75 years ago. The thing is that in 1948 Dr. Rosemary Fowler, being a graduate student, has discovered the Kaon particle (under supervision of Cecil Powell who got the Nobel Prize for this discovery). Moreover, she predicted that there are more particles to discover that are similar to the Kaon particle. So she was RIGHT! In 1964 the Higgs boson has been discovered. But observe the difference the Higgs boson was discovered by Mr. Peter Higgs and recognized, while the Kaon (Why Kaon? Logically, Fowler or Fowler-Powell) particle discovery was attributed solely to Mr. Powell. Where is the woman here? She gave up academia to give birth and rise her kids... I am so happy that she is still alive in her 98 got her PhD as a recognition for the great contribution.
